Despite its peaceful countryside setting, it’s just a few minutes from the historic center of Castiglion Fiorentino, a splendid medieval village where you can spend relaxing days immersed in culture and tranquility. The art gallery inside the Church of Sant’Angelo, featuring stunning paintings recently returned from the Milan Expo, the archaeological museum with its fully accessible Etruscan excavation site, the ancient archives of the library, the prison corridors of the Palazzo Pretorio, the Cassero Tower complex, the cloister of San Francesco, the Pieve Museum, and the Vasari Loggia opposite Palazzo San Michele are just some of the beautiful places you can visit for free.
Moreover, we are only a 15-minute drive from the beautiful Etruscan and medieval village of Cortona and just 15 minutes from the city of Arezzo. Casa di Mezzacosta is the perfect base for exploring the most charming villages of the Valdichiana region, such as Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Monteriggioni, Lucignano, and Monte San Savino.
