Edi Magi is a ceramist from Castiglione and often welcomes tourists to teach them the basics of this fascinating art.
Directly in her laboratory, it is possible to learn the techniques and procedures for the creation of Tuscan ceramics.
The "basic" workshop provides the fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge on the working of clay, from the design of an artifact to its creation using the main manual construction techniques: slab, pinch, coil, carving, engraving.
Both ornamental and utilitarian objects are modeled (flowers, fruit, cups, bowls, plates, vases, etc., with local clays). The objects created remain with the participants who thus have a real memory of Castiglion Fiorentino!
